Effective October 3, 2026. This policy describes the OrbitDisk Mac application.
OrbitDisk scans only folders or volumes you authorize through the macOS folder picker. It reads file metadata such as names, paths, sizes and modification times to build a storage map. Scanning does not read file contents, follow symbolic links or upload your files. Scan results are held in memory and are not saved when the application closes.
OrbitDisk stores a small list of recent folder locations as security-scoped bookmarks in its own macOS preferences. This lets you revisit authorized locations without selecting them again. Choose “Forget recent locations” in Settings to remove that list. Active access to the current folder ends when the app closes.
The app has no accounts, ads, analytics, third-party SDKs or network requests. We do not collect or transmit your file metadata, file contents, device identifiers or usage activity.
If you export a CSV report, it contains filenames, full paths and sizes. You select where to save it; a cloud-synced destination may synchronize that file through your chosen storage provider. Treat the report as private information. Cleanup moves only the items you select and confirm to macOS Trash. OrbitDisk never empties Trash or permanently deletes your files.
Apple independently processes App Store downloads and any diagnostics you choose to share with Apple under its own policies. If you contact support through a separate service, share only the information needed to explain your issue and redact private file paths.
This website is hosted on Vercel, which may process request metadata such as IP address and browser details to serve and secure the website. No analytics scripts are added. If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Contact: lazywc@gmail.com.
A future change to data handling will be reflected here and in the app’s App Store privacy disclosures before that functionality ships.
OrbitDisk 仅在本机读取你授权文件夹的元数据，不上传文件、不提供账号、广告或分析追踪。仅最近位置的安全书签保存在本机，可在设置中清除。扫描结果不持久化。导出的 CSV 包含文件名和完整路径；如果选择云同步位置，文件可能由该云服务同步。清理操作须经你确认，文件仅移到废纸篓，不会被永久删除。Apple 的商店及诊断服务遵循 Apple 自身政策。
